Previous festivals have included performers from Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Poland and Bulgaria, and even as far away as China, Brazil, and Japan. A children's jury confers the Cat in the Bag Award.
The festival used to also take place in the Atrium and Knights' Hall of Maribor Castle and at the Narodni dom Maribor but has moved with the Maribor Puppet Theatre into a renovated Minorite building at Lent in 2010. Performances normally tour also to Ptuj, Lenart, Medvode, Nova Gorica, Celje and Lendava; Slovene productions have also toured to Austria (Carinthia and Styria).
