Viktor Awards have been conferred since 1993 by STOP Magazine on the most popular creators in media and popular culture. The editorial board of STOP magazine bestows a Viktor Award for a Lifetime's Work and a Viktor Award for Special Achievements. A group of professionals known as the Viktor Academy selects candidates for several Viktors of Professionalism, while STOP Magazine readers choose Viktors of Popularity for the most popular radio and TV programmes, radio and TV personalities and singers or music groups. Voting by post or via the Internet is as popular as the final glitter and glamour of the awards ceremony.
