Established in 1986, Zasavje Museum serves the three municipalities of Zasavje: Trbovlje, Zagorje and Hrastnik. Housed in a 19th-century Trbovlje burgher house, the main museum holds a large collection on the development of mining in the region. In 1996 the upper floor was converted into a gallery to house the Museum's fine collection of works by sculptor Stojan Batič (b 1925), including his Miners' and Explosion Cycles. Systematic activities continue to expand the museum's holdings and new collections are constantly being formed, increasing the need for presentation and additional space. | Established in 1986, Zasavje Museum serves the three municipalities of Zasavje: Trbovlje, Zagorje and Hrastnik.
