Fičo Balet is the initiator of the [[Nomad Dance Academy Slovenia]], a branch of the wider international platform for collaboration, education, research, production, and promotion of contemporary dance that gathers potentials and resources on a regional level with an aim to contribute to the improvement and professionalization of contemporary dance in the Balkans.
  
Fičo Balet has collaborated with the Nomad Dance Academy, specifically for the NOMAD Education Programme 2008 launched by the Balkan Dance Network. This initiative is dedicated to providing practical and theoretical knowledges from the field of performing arts and enabling artistic exchange between 12 emerging contemporary dancers from the Balkans in order to create a network for future artistic collaborations. Other partners include Eks Scena, Croatia; Tala Dance Center, Croatia; Station – Service for Contemporary Dance, Serbia; Lokomotiva – Center for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture, Macedonia; and the Brain Store Project, Bulgaria.

In June 2010 the company produced a 4-day [[Pleskavica Festival]] with two sections: ''Blow Up'' with two performances by the established dancer (Ivo Dimchev) and director ([[Sebastjan Horvat]]) and ''Short Cuts'' with 14 world premières by the emerging artists from the Nomad Dance Academy.

Fičo Balet is an artist-led NGO founded in 2000 by Goran Bogdanovski and a core group of artistic collaborators. Fičo Balet’s diverse (international) programme aims to explore and communicate the full range of the artistic and educational experience of dance by organising different community-based art projects.

Fičo Balet also provides an on-going, weekly training to "any body" interested in movement and dance and has been organising the international festival of contemporary dance CoFestival since its beginnings in 2012.
