In the course of fast five decades - in 2011 the 50th anniversary is in sight - this international project of 'live' sculpture in the open-air has involved around 150 sculptors from all over the world who have enriched the cultural treasures of Slovenia with around 300 sculptures. In the Portorož gallery in the open air and in the coastal towns over 165 stone sculptures have been installed. On the last edition of symposium in October 2009 there have been working Zhao Li from China, in New York living Macedonian Gorazd Poposki, Peter Roller from Bratislava, working hier also 22 years ago, and young Dutch artist Chris Peterson. In 2009 have been installed the sculpture of the bird of Slovene artist Vladimir Makuc, to wit infront of the storehouse for salt Monfort in Fizine. | |
