The festival, usually held on four to five consecutive Thursdays or Fridays in July and August, has in recent years hosted chamber orchestras like the Ensemble Phoenix Munich, the Nova Schola Labacensis, the Musica cubicularis, Cappella Istropolitana, Martinu Quartet, Salzburg Soloists Chamber Quartet, the Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra, Croatian pianist Lovro Pogorelić, and American soprano Kristin Lewis.
Additional festival locations include the Church of the Vision of St Mary in Strunjan, or the Church of St Mary of the Rose in the neighbouring town of Portorož.
