The journal is published quarterly in Slovenian, with occasional abstracts in English and German.
ČKZ was established in 1973 by a group of radical students and younger intellectuals who wanted to tackle contemporary social praxis in a critical way beyond objective scientific approaches. The book series Krt ("A mole"), released in 1981, was a similar initiative.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place.
