Programme
The Nagib Association grew out of the NagiB Contemporary Dance Festival, an annual festival for contemporary dance and performance art taking place in Maribor between 2005 and 2013.
In 2014, the festival was transformed into a year-long cycle of performances called Nagib on Stage, set up in the main regional theatre Narodni dom Maribor and other venues and realised in six seasons so far. Focusing on showcasing contemporary dance and theatre performances with emphasis on supporting the production of the independent scene, the programme includes also various side-projects intended as a platform to explore the performances' concepts and performers' practices in a more discursive format.
With season 2019/20, Nagib Association has again shifted the focus of its programming. A series of events called Nagib to Process is aimed at providing an environment for professional dance practice and promoting the wider understanding of artistic processes.

Awards
In 2015, Petra Hazabent, head of the association as well the programme curator of the Nagib on Stage cycle, received the Ksenija Hribar Award, awarded by the Contemporary Dance Association Slovenia for her achievements as producer in the field of Slovene contemporary performing arts.
