The Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) is an organisation of architects, urban designers, landscape architects and spatial planners with a state licence to produce all types of plans in these fields. It was established in 2003, though it originated as the Section of Architects, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects of the Slovene Chamber of Engineers, founded in 1997. ZAPS has around 1,100 members and aims to improve the status of its professional members and to influence positive changes in the Slovene environment.
The Chamber provides architects with useful information on changes in legislation, it hosts lectures and educational seminars and organizes competitions and exhibitions. Since 2006 the Chamber organises Congress of Slovene Architects.
The Chamber is a member of the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE).
