[[Enota]] ('Unit') was founded in December [[established::1998]] in Ljubljana by [[Aljoša Dekleva]], [[Dean Lah]] and [[Milan Tomac]]. In 2003 [[Aljoša Dekleva]] left the company to set up [[Dekleva Gregorič Arhitekti]]. The ambition of Enota is to create a contemporary and critical architectural practice of an open type. At this moment there are seven active members in the office. In 2006 the group won the [[Plečnik Award]] for the Sotelia Hotel at Olimje Spa in Podčetrtek. The same architecture complex got some other prizes, eg [[Piranesi Award]] and the Golden Feather granted by the [[Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS)]] and was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Prize). Other recent projects include Tuhelj Spa, Croatia (2003–2006), Maribor Bank NKBM Branch, Ljubljana (2001–2002) and Termalija Wellness Centre at Olimlje Spa (2003–2004).

Enota ("Unit") was founded in Ljubljana in December 1998 by Aljoša Dekleva, Dean Lah and Milan Tomac. Aljoša Dekleva left the company in 2003 to set up Dekleva Gregorič Arhitekti, but the firm continued to grow and has since served as a platform for over 50 architects. It is currently headed by Dean Lah and Milan Tomac.

Enota's research-driven approach aims to produce innovative solutions adapted to a world that is constantly changing. Using the newest available technology, its members seek to transcend the narrow boundaries of their traditional disciplines.

Projects

Enota has positioned itself at the cutting edge of hotel and hospitality design in Slovenia and abroad, receiving a number of awards and features in the international architectural and speciality press for their designs. The firm's long-term cooperation with the Olimia Hotel and Spa in Podčetrtek, Slovenia, for example, has produced the Sotelia Hotel (2006), for which it received the Plečnik Award, Golden Pencil Award and Piranesi Award); the Orhidelia wellness facility (2009), which landed the firm another Golden Pencil Award; and the Termalija family wellness centre (2018). Besides awards for general architecture and design, these and similar projects have also received a number of international awards and accolades for hotel and spa design.

The firm has also met with success in other fields: the Jurčkova residential housing units in Ljubljana (2007) and the renovation of the Dominican Monastery at Ptuj into a performing arts centre (2015) both resulted in the most prestigious honours available to Slovenian architects.

Recently the firm has also become active in the design of municipal spaces, applying its innovative approach to parks and public spaces in Koper, Velenje and the small village of Skorba.
