Gala hala is a concert venue run by KAPA Association for Cultural and Artistic Production at Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Zone. It hosts around 100 shows during the year, including concerts, DJ events and video screenings. Events cover all genres of music from reggae, hip hop, punk, hard core, rock, rock'n'roll, metal, dub, ambiental and trip hop to breakbeat and drum'n'bass; the musicians come from the underground music scene and are not from the mainstream. Regular shows featured here include Rapetek (hip hop concerts every last Friday of the month), Reggaeneracija (a reggae event; every first Friday of the month), BeatStreet (a breakbeat/drum'n'bass event), the DrrMrrr OrtoPunk Festival (mid September), the Kapa Records Festival (concerts by groups signed to Kapa's independent label), and the Dub Club (French electro-dub scene). The venue holds a maximum of 350 people.
