Comprised of a set of interactive activities, it is aimed at socialising youth above 14 years into a quality and diverse cinema culture. As such, it is mainly also run and programmed by young people from the same age group that it addresses. |
The festival, which features as the main part of the programme, is almost wholly created and programmed by a team of young individuals up to 19 years old. The name, the visual identity and the festival programme are all their work. The chosen films consequently mostly deal with youth, portraying their points of view and their particular aesthetics. Some of the films screened at the festival are I dolori del giovane Edo (Duccio Chiarini, 2014), Prins (Sam de Jong, 2015), Omoide no Mânî (Hiromasa Yonebayashi, 2014) and Beautiful Girl (Dominik Hartl, 2015).
The accompanying programme is sporting both the 'regular' festival features like workshops and discussions with artists (for example, the actors Ilayda Akdoğan and Tuğba Sunguroğlu), and also things like a temporary anima and manga comics library, a horror film make-up sessions, etc.
