The Conservatory holds the name of one of the most prominent Slovene classical composers, who was born in Novo mesto in 1907. Today the Conservatory offers programs of preschool music education, music theory and solfeggio to more than 600 students who choose between 18 different musical instruments and singing lessons. The music teachers greatly encourage their students to perform and participate in competitions as well as in chamber orchestras and symphonic orchestras. The school is particularly proud of its chamber orchestra and its youth brass orchestra, as well as accordion and symphonic orchestras. |
