In 1963 a 25 metre-high wooden tower was erected at Voličina in memory of General Maister-Vojanov. Then in 1981 the wooden tower was replaced by a new 17 metre-high metal panoramic tower. This was followed in [[established::1985]] by the refurbishment of the nearby Štupič Villa, in which the general used to spend his holidays. Restored and furnished in period style, it contains a thematic exhibition entitled ''General Maister-Vojanov Soldier, Politician, Poet''. The exhibition was renovated in 1999.
