The Library houses over 25,000 units of Slovene and foreign monographs and periodicals from the fields of ethnology, anthropology, museology, conservation and restoration and exchanges books with more than 200 domestic and international libraries. The museum's publications and the [[Etnolog (Ethnologist) Journal]], the SEMnovice newsletter and a variety of other works dealing with museum collections are available to public in the reading room.
