Bestowed since 1968, the Sovre Award is granted in recognition of the best translation work. One or two awards are made annually by the Slovene Association of Literary Translators in co-operation with publishing houses and the Ministry of Culture.

Since 2007 the recipients of the Sovre Award were Jaroslav Skrušný, Nada Grošelj, Primož Vitez, Nives Vidrih, Urška P. Černe, Vasja Bratina and Andrej E. Skubic.
