The library offers a broad range of literature, today it comprises over 6,000 books, mostly in Russian, and some books in Slovenian language. It has a rich collection of Russian classics, books on Russian history and culture (painting, theater, music, architecture and film), social and political literature, Russian language textbooks or children literature.
A selection of Russian literary magazines are obtained by subscription, for example Новый мир, Знамя, Октябрь, Наше наследие (Our Heritage), or Наука и жизнь (Science and Life).
Visitors can make use of the media library with the best Russian documentary films, feature films, caroons, music and audiobooks. , educational programs, audio CDs with educational and reference software, documentaries and feature films, cartoons, music, audiobooks.
In addition to borrowing books or videos, members are invited to take part in various cultural events, regular film screenings, concerts, literary evenings, and other presentations.
The reading room of the RCSC in Ljubljana provides four computer workstations with an access to the records of the Presidential Library of B. N. Yeltsin that houses more than 80 thousand units. The library funds comprise documents of various types: books, newspapers, archival documents, photos, video and audio materials covering primarily Russian history, theory and practice of the Russian state, and Russian language. Among them are rare books and archival documents on the history of Russian statehood and law, pre-revolutionary and Soviet periodicals, chronicles as well as statistical and ethnographic data. Electronic collections are organised also by thematic principle, the largest projects being Territory of Russia and the Memory of the Great Victory. Each collection has a brief description, a bibliographic record and detailed annotations.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
