On the ground floor the children literature is located as well as Mini Bologna, a permanent exhibition of illustrated youth books in foreign languages from 44 countries. On the upper floor there is a section for adults, a reference library, and a permanent collection of the Slovenian language expert Jože Toporišič.
A multi-purpose hall is named after Savica Zorko, the library’s first manager. Many events (book readings, presentations, exhibitions, etc.) for children and adults take place here. The events organised in 2008 had 6,739 visitors. In 2010 the library started offering also free computer courses.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
