Launched in 1998 by Samo Vadnov, Buča (''Buča'' means 'smart...hard...empty...head') is a leading publishing marketing agency. Samo Vadnov started to sell books in 1976 and quickly realised the need for book marketing to be facilitated for publishers by book lovers with experience and enthusiasm. Today Buča represents several publishing houses that specialise in social sciences and humanities books, galleries, museums and training and research institutions, and a computer publishing house, as well as some small publishers and individuals. Online book sales are also offered. Recently Buča started to publish its own books, mostly picture books for children by Slovene authors (Andrej Rozman Roza, Matjaž Pikalo).
