It formally came into existence in 1992, when it became the exclusive distributor for the independent record label Mute and, with time, some other labels (among them Beggars Banquet, 4AD, P.I.A.S.). At the same time Dallas Records also actively started releasing their own music. In the mid-1990s, the label became an official licensee for the multinational recording and publishing company EMI, for whom they promoted and distributed music throughout the whole of ex-Yugoslavia. |
