Music and culture
Since its inception the Centre hosted several temporary art exhibitions, among others also by sculptor Marjan Drev (Figura v vozelnem prostoru no. 2) and Forma Viva by several Slovene visual artists, made in cooperation with the Lent Festival and Art Kamp. The permanent museum collection dates back to the 14th Century and is currently being restored and renovated.
The music activity is managed within the project The Sound Spectre with about 5 concerts of classical music per year. In 2011 the regional and national musicians are presented at the venue in order to promote classical music.
Cultural heritage project
In 1999 the Government of Slovenia adopted a decree declaring Betnava mansion a cultural monument of national importance. Together with Slovenian partners, the institute Porta B from Celje and the Slovene Ethnological and Anthropological Association KULA, the Centre manages an international project Sincuheritage (Cultural Heritage of the Past for the Brighter Future), funded by the EEA and Norway Grants financial mechanism.
