− | + | Currently the most important project of the institute is the update and completion of the ''Slovene Biographic Lexicon'' (15 books with around 5,000 articles covering the period 1925–1991) into the ''New Slovene Biographic Lexicon''. The lexicon presents a rich archive of biographical data on Slovene personalities and also some personalities abroad related to Slovene culture. Further important projects include Lives and Works – biographical and bibliographical studies, and the Slovene bio-bibliographical database in electronic format (up to 2007 containing details of about 12,800 personalities). The Institute of Cultural History collects and updates its data, develops new ways of presenting it, and prepares interdisciplinary methodological studies and comparative studies. | |
