[[Intima Virtual Base]] - Institute for Contemporary Arts was established by intermedia artist Igor Štromajer. He founded a non-governmental artistic institution Intima Virtual Base dealing in different creative media and forms of activity: contemporary performing arts, radio and sound projects, performance art theory, body-related theory and women's studies, music, dance and choreography, philosophy, photography, video, design and computer graphics. It comprised 'net.ballet' on the Internet, 2001, 'ballet.net' in Moscow, 2002, 'M-III robot net ballet' in Ljubljana and Bergen 2003 and Milan 2004, presentations in Belgrade and Berlin and the 2007 'Sttattika' staged in Hong Kong and Bremen. Another project is Oppera Internettikka, a series of low-tech internet opera art projects begun in 1998. It explores the combination of classical opera tactics and strategies, together with singing HTML source code, text-to-speech software, Java scripts and applets. The project was presented in Skopje, Berlin, Ljubljana, New Delhi, Montpellier and on Internet. In 2007 Intima Virtual Base toured to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile, the Sputtnikk Oppera was presented in Skopje, Macedonia, and the live Internet performance 7012: Die Die Die Beauty project was performed in Montpellier, France.
