The international group exhibition of contemporary art Alzheimer featuring videos by Igor Štromajer (Intima Virtual Base)
About
Igor Štromajer, who graduated at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT), tackles in his intermedia projects tactical emotional states and traumatic low-tech emotional strategies. He has shown his work at more than 100 exhibitions and festivals in 50 countries and received a number of international awards.
Beside the both biggest national instititions for contemporary arts as the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana or Maribor Art Gallery, his works are included in the permanent collections of the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (Madrid), and the Computerfinearts Gallery (New York). As an artist-in-residence he lectured at universities and contemporary arts institutes in Europe, the USA and Canada.
Projects
Internationally-renowned projects of Štromajers early phase include: I want to share you - what are you doing to me? Ballettikka Internettikka
It is on ongoing internet guerilla performance study developed in collaboration with Brane Zorman and theoretical adviser Bojana Kunst. It explores wireless Internet ballet performances combined with guerrilla tactics and mobile live.
