The jury selects five nominees from 30 to 40 submitted proposals which are then allowed to wear the trade-mark of the Original Slovene Picture Book. The award-winning book is announced at a special event.
Most of the recently awarded books have been illustrated by Zvonko Čoh, Lila Prap, Andreja Peklar, Jelka Reichman, Peter Škerl, Suzi Bricelj, and Matjaž Schmidt.
