Library [Knjižnica], a journal of library and information science, has been published since 1957 by the Slovenian Library Association and the co-publisher National and University Library. Library is the only professional journal covering innovations and fresh theoretical currents in the field of librarianship in Slovenia. Articles present recent professional achievements in library and information science as well as book studies, thus supporting the development of library science theory and practice.

The journal is published 4 times a year (2 single issues and 1 double issue) and can be subscribed to at the editorial desk of the Slovenian Library Association by readers from Slovenia and abroad. It is indexed in LISA (CSA), LISTA (EBSCO), Proquest Science/technology Databases, IBZ and DOAJ. Articles accompanied by abstracts in English are also available online, at Library e-publications portal, as well as at LISA, Google Scholar, dLIb and COBISS/OPAC.

The journal is published with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Slovenian Book Agency, the National and University Library, and members of regional library associations.
