The Social Activities Department of Litija Municipality is responsible for various social welfare and educational activities and for culture, especially public culture organised by smaller local associations, including brass band ensembles, choirs and theatre. It supports the programme of the Institute for Education and Culture in Litija.
The local branches of the Union of Cultural Societies of Slovenia (ZKDS) and the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia (JSKD) facilitate the activities around 24 cultural associations comprising about 760 members.
