Kulturni dom Nova Gorica (in English: "Nova Gorica Arts Centre") was opened as a regional Culture House in 1978. During the two decades it has become an important concert venue. Nova Gorica Arts Centre runs Nova Gorica City Gallery branch that is located within the Nova Gorica theatre building complex.
The Centre has welcomed many internationally acclaimed musicians and featured all leading Slovene musicians, the events were called the Hit's Muses at Dobrovo Castle (first-class chamber and solo events during the 90s and since 2004-2005 the Goriška Muses. Music from the Gardens of St. Francis is a series of concerts held in the beautiful surroundings of the Franciscan Monastery at Kostanjevica above Nova Gorica, designed primarily for young Slovene musicians.
Since 1996 the Nova Gorica Music School organises in collaboration with the Arts Centre the Saxophone Players’ International Meeting, summer school, plus an accompanying festival held in and around the city. Part of the Centre's activity is dedicated to the promotion of music education in primary and secondary schools (in cooperation with the Slovene branch of Jeunesses Musicales International).
Nova Gorica Arts Centre runs a range of other programmes, including the Pixxelpoint International Festival of Computer Art and regular cinema screenings.
Apart from the abovementioned international festivals Nova Gorica Arts Centre runs also two cross-border music festivals in collaboration with Italian partners (Feel the Sound of the Places Festival, Royal Court Music International Festival).

It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
