Named after Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778), an eminent Italian graphic artist and architect, the Piranesi Foundation funds various activities in the fields of graphic art and architecture in an attempt to raise the quality of Slovenian architecture and spacial planning and thus affect positive change of the environment itself. The main purpose of the Piranesi Foundation is publishing the Piranesi Magazine, and organizing exhibitions and other commemorative publications.
