The [[Slovene Comparative Literature Association]] is a voluntary group of scholars and graduates active in the study of comparative and general Slovene literature. Its objective is to advance the discipline of literature, to co-ordinate comparative literature projects, to popularise new achievements in the field and to promote Slovene comparative linguistics through international contacts. Being a member of International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA/AILC), it organises lectures and symposia (eg the international conference ''How to write Literary History Today'', 2002). Every two years it publishes the comparative literature review Primerjalna književnost.
