Managed by Maribor Art Gallery since 1966, the UGM Studio, a former "Rotovž Salon", occasionally features exhibitions of contemporary art and architecture. The programme of the space is often based on the national and international cooperations. A call for international artists and producers is published at the beginning of a year, inviting new contemporary art projects to be presented at the studio.

The exhibition Continuity of Modernism, Fragments of Croatian Architecture from Modernity to 2010 presented 85 works by Croatian architects from the 1930s to today as a follow-up of a collaboration between the Maribor Art Gallery and Oris Magazine.
