Vodnik Homestead, 2006

The renovated Vodnik Homestead was opened as the cultural centre of the Ljubljana suburb of Šiška in 1984. Two rooms on the ground floor and mezzanine were used for art exhibitions, and since 1989 the spacious attic has been made available for theatre activities and other cultural events. Vodnik Homestead ran various small performances (puppetry, theatre) and workshops, as well as a visual arts programme, which features the work of local artists, ethnic minorities and marginal groups.

In 2012 the Municipality of Ljubljana chose the Hanna's Atelier for Sonorous Arts as a new manager of the facilities. The Atelier's aim is to turn the venue into a Centre for Sonorous Arts.
