+ | Koper Regional Development Centre was established in [[established::1993]] and acts as an institution on a regional level with the aim of promoting business and economy development in the coastal region. Since 2001 it has run the South Primorje Regional Development Agency, which covers the territory of eight municipalities (Piran, Izola, Koper, Divaca, Sežana, Ilirska Bistrica, Hrpelje-Kozina and Komen). RRC Koper has been involved in the IN-PRIME programme together with North Primorska and Notranjska-Karst regions. It participates also in several Slovene and European projects related to countryside revival and the preservation of cultural heritage in Slovene Istria. It stimulates tourism, regional development, environmnent protection and promotes electronic business, new information technologies and the entrepreneurship of women. | ||
