The Slovene cluster of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network was established in 2007 by the following national cultural offices present in the country: Goethe-Institut Ljubljana, British Council Slovenia, French Cultural Institute Charles Nodier, Italian Cultural Institute and Austrian Cultural Forum. Later on they were joined by Instituto Cervantes Liubliana.

EUNIC Slovenia promotes cultural dialogue and strives to collaborate closely with the local civil society. It seeks synergies in joint projects such as the European Film Week in nine Slovene cities organised in collaboration with European Commission and several other partners in 2010.
