In 2002 the choir participated in a seminar led by Holger Speck and in 2003 it presented a concert with the German chamber choir Quatro Forte from Schwetzingen. In 2003 it was awarded a gold plaque at the national [[Naša pesem Choir Competition]] in Maribor. In 2005 the choir earned second prize and award from the audience in the international competition in Spittal, Austria, and in 2006 first prize and golden diploma in international competition in Mernes, Germany. In 2009 the choir cooperated at first performance of Joseph Haydn’s oratory Stabat Mater on the Slovene ground. Cantemus has toured to Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Serbia, Italy and the Netherlands.

Since its establishment in 1978, Cantemus Kamnik Mixed Choir works as one of the most successful choirs in Slovenia. Over the years it has developed its repertoire to include Slovene as well as international compositions. The choir is led by Urban Tozon.
