The Library of the Department of Psychology, University of Ljubljana was founded in 1951 and is the central Slovene library for reference literature in the field of Psychology.

Holding more than 17,000 items – including around 14,000 monographies, around 3,000 scientific periodicals and around 300 items from electronic sources – the library subscribes to more than 40 Slovene and foreign journals, some of which are available through the library's information services: PsycINFO (bibiliographic collection), PsycARTICLES (electronic journals), PsycBOOKS (electronic books).

Access

The library has a special user friendly INDOK service for helping and educating users, researchers, and students. It advises on how to use library material, how to search the sources in the literature, and how to collect, value and search information.

The INDOK Service assists also in cataloguing the Psihološka obzorja ([Horizons of Psychology]), a significant journal in Psychology published by Slovene Psychological Association in Slovenian and English. Full texts are available as pdf files on DLib.si the digital library of Slovenia.
