Fičo Balet is an artist-led company founded in 2000 by Goran Bogdanovski and a core group of artistic collaborators and dancers. The name of the company comes from the Slovenian nickname for the Fiat 500, fičo, and the Slovenian word for ballet, balet. The group performs in original and unconventional ways, striving to transform classical and academic dance-styles into inspiring, understandable, and accessible performances enabling new experiences of art. In the frame of the Nomad Dance Academy (launched by the Balkan Dance Network) Fičo Balet produced the Pleskavica Contemporary Dance Festival in June 2010.
