[[Gora Rocka]] festival takes place on Šentviška planota, a plateau at the foothills of the Julian Alps. Established in [[established::2005]], it has managed to consistently attract more and more visitors (up to 10k), which is mainly due to the idyllic location and highly professional organisation, supported by a bullet proof line-up of well established Slovenian rock acts and big names from surrounding countries. All this for a very affordable price, which is yet another of the festival's characteristics.

The festival Gora Rocka takes place on Šentviška planota, a plateau at the foothills of the Julian Alps. Established in 2005, it has managed to consistently attract more and more visitors (up to 10k), which is mainly due to the idyllic location and highly professional organisation, supported by a bulletproof line-up of well-established Slovene rock acts and big names from surrounding countries. All this for a very affordable price, yet another of the festival's traits.

Besides rock music, the festival's other main theme is charity, as each year the profit goes to a few local community services or infrastructure projects (from rebuilding the school gymnasium and equipping a bus stop to setting up a children's playground in the nearby village and helping the local kindergarten).

The festival has hosted most of the big Slovene mainstream rock bands such as Tabu, Big Foot Mama, Zmelkoow, Zablujena Generacija, Elvis Jackson, The Drinkers, Siddharta, Mi2, Don Mentony Band, Pankrti, Niet, Nude, and Dan D. There were also well-known bands from ex-Yugoslavia like Prljavo kazalište (HR), Let3 (HR), and Dubioza kolektiv (BA), various tribute bands like Hollywood Rose (HU), a Guns N' Roses Tribute Band, and Kiss Forever band (HU), as well as dozens of others. In the past, these lesser-known bands have sometimes been selected through a public call and a series of events held at Orto Bar.
