UNIMA Slovenia has 18 individual members. It co-operates with all puppetry organisations in Slovenia and strives to promote puppetry and support the artists and organisations involved in the field.

In 1992 the 16th Congress of the International Union of the Marionette (UNIMA) was organised by Ljubljana Puppet Theatre in Ljubljana.
