Lately KAPA has worked extensively in the field of international promotion of Slovene music (tours, concerts and residencies for groups such as Moveknowledgement, Red Five Point Star, Backstage, Srečna mladina, Olivija and Intimn Frizurn and DJs Dado and Borka). It also books Paprika Korps, East Rodeo, Radical Dub Collective and some other bands. KAPA collaborates with a wide range of festivals and agencies including Drugi Most (Grenoble), Festival du Monde aux Balkans, Kao Konnektion (Lyon), Project Zikeo, Alors, on le fait ..., Palac Akropolis (Prague) and Know Your Neighbour.
KAPA is also a producer and has its own audio recording studio (see below) and record label, KAPA Records. Several concerts have been recorded live. KAPA also has its own publishing house and runs an educational programme called Pick Up.
Association for cultural and artistic production KAPA is active since 1994 in the fields of alternative and independent scene in Ljubljana and Slovenia. During this time they have organised series of concerts, festivals and other projects of civil importance. All activities are being held inside the cultural place Metelkova City, www.metelkova.org, the last stronhold of independent culture in Ljubljana. The main activity of KAPA is organisation of concerts and festivals, mainly taking place in Gala hala venue and Gala hala summer stage but also in other venues in Slovenia. We are publishing CD's (under the label name KAPA records), providing places for rehearsal and we have an audio recording studio. Lately we work in the fields of international promotion of Slovene music, mostly the bands, signed to our label KAPA records, that has signed the bands, as follows: Red Five Point Star, Moveknowledgement, We can't sleep at night, Srečna mladina, Buldogi, East Rodeo and Backstage.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
