The Library Association of Ljubljana is a voluntary, independent, non-profit organisation of librarians. It aims to develop library science in theory and practice in order to raise the level of library activities and staff education. Its objectives are a good library network and the unity of the information system. It organises lectures, meetings, and visits and, if necessary, raises library-related issues in the public media. The association is based in the Central Technological Library.

The association is active in the Municipality of Ljubljana and the surrounding municipalities of Borovnica, Brezovica, Cerknica, Dobrepolje, Dobrova-Horjul-Polhov Gradec, Dol pri Ljubljani, Domžale, Grosuplje, Hrastnik, Ig, Ivančna Gorica, Kamnik, Kočevje, Litija, Logatec, Loška dolina, Loški Potok, Lukovica, Medvode, Mengeš, Moravče, Ribnica, Škofljica, Trbovlje, Velike Lašče, Vodice, Vrhnika, and Zagorje ob Savi. It is a member of the Slovenian Library Association.
