Activities and venues
The Lokalpatriot Club operates as a bar, a cybercafé, and a reading room during the daytime, in the evening it turns into a venue for concerts, performances, literary events, cinematheque screenings, lectures, etc.
LokalPatriot incorporates also the Multimedia Centre of Dolenjska (MCD), an IT centre with six computers equipped with various software which is active within the M3C Multimedia Centres Network of Slovenia. It also runs the Simulaker Gallery, an exhibition space which showcases all forms of contemporary visual arts.
LokalPatriot organises the renowned Jazzinty International Music Workshop and Festival and Fotopub Festival of Documentary Photography, with their respective workshops for musicians and photographers, both representing an excellent opportunity for basic comprehension of the art forms. Every year the Jazzon Award is bestowed after a competition for the best jazz composition. Photographic Experience and the Thursday Award are competition opportunities for amateur and professional photographers to show their work.
It also produces the Museum Gardens summer music festival, which offers glamour and entertainment on warm summer nights.
