The Municipality of Radovljica covers a total area of 119 square kilometres and has a population of 18,210 people (2002) living in 52 settlements. Radovljica is a member of the Slovene Association of Historic Towns.


The Department of Social Activities is responsible for social affairs and culture, especially cultural heritage preservation through the work of the Radovljica Municipality Museums network. Radovljica Union of Cultural Societies and the local unit of the Public Fund for Cultural Activities facilitate the activities of numerous cultural associations.
