Established in 1957, Situla Journal: Dissertationes Musei Nationalis Sloveniae is an annual publication of the National Museum of Slovenia which brings syntheses from the field of archaeology as well as monographs about numismatics, epigraphy, and ancient history. All of its articles have been translated into an international language and are thus accessible to foreign scholars interested in these topics, for example: "The Sisak Hoard of Argentei of the Early Tetrarchy" by Aleksander Jeločnik, "Les tissus Coptes du Musée national de Ljubljana" by Darinka Zelinka, "Classification of Byzantine Stamena in the Light of a Hoard Found in Southern Serbi" by David Michael Metcalf, etc.
