Housed in a 16th-century Jewish Tower in the city of Maribor, [[Stolp Photogallery]] was established by Photoclub Maribor as a club exhibition hall in 1989. The gallery houses a changing permanent collection of photographic works by many great names of Slovene photography, including the unique exhibition Photographs by the Maribor Circle from the early 1970s, which was a milestone in Slovene photography. The gallery also hosts occasional temporary exhibitions of work by acclaimed or upcoming young Slovene artists and by foreign photographers.
