The Town and Spatial Planning Association of Slovenia is a voluntary independent and non-profit organisation with a membership of professionals from all parts of Slovenia. Its aim is to develop exchange opportunities, professional information, and professional standards both in-country and internationally. The association is a member of the European Council of Town Planners – Conseil européen des urbanistes (ECTP–CEU), the umbrella organisation for spatial Planning institutes in Europe.

Background

In 2002 Maribor received an ECTP–CEU Honourable Mention for its urban planning efforts. Back then having more than 170 members, nowadays the association is again striving to establish a visible and active platform through a reorganisation of its executive body, offering a new programme, and carefully managing its valuable archive that also includes works of Edvard Ravnikar (1907–1993).
