The Academy of Music now comprises Departments of Music Performance and Instruments (woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, keyboard instruments), Conducting, Composition and Theory, Singing and Opera School, Church Music and Music Teacher Training.

The University of Ljubljana facilitates student exchange according to the programmes of CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme), Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, and bilateral agreements.
