Delavski dom in Trbovlje was opened in 1954 in a newly built modernist building known for its façade mosaic by Marij Pregelj and sculptures by Stojan Batič with the miners as a leitmotiv. Comprising both performing arts and visual arts spaces, the venue's own cultural programme is diverse, ranging from local cultural events to performances by Slovene theatre houses and independent groups. Venue

The upper floor reception hall can host up to 500 people, the cinema hall which was renovated in 1999 has 354 seats and the main theatre hall which was renovated in 2000 contains 434 seats. The gallery space has 45 linear metres of exhibition space.

Delavski dom is also home to a number of cultural and educational institutions, including a music school. Its cinema is a member of the Art Cinema Network, which distributes selected high-quality films around Slovenia.
