Aims of the festival
Summer festivals in individual towns are enriched by events that relate to local heritage sites or objects, which help to develop cultural life as well as the image of towns and regions. Local organisers also help with the organisation.
The most important goals of the project are expansion of high quality art in smaller towns, promotion of classical music, artists and performers, intercultural dialogue and accessibility to cultural goods. That is also why the concerts are admission free.
Programme
Imago Sloveniae is a well known quality brand. Its programme consists of classical music from different periods for various chamber groups, choirs or symphony orchestras. In previous years the festival cooperated with Slovene and abroad artists such as Prokofjev Guitar Duo, Ljubljana Vocal Academy, Katalena, Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, and also Accord Quartet (Hungary), Harvard Din & Tonic (Unites States of America), Egyptian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (Egipt), Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra in Wolverhampton Youth Wind Orchestra (Great Britain), CREA Symphony Orchestra (Denmark) and City of Belfast Youth Orchestra (Great Britain).
