Opened in 2010, Klub eMCe plac is a Velenje based student and youth club, led by the Velenje Youth Centre (MC Velenje) . The club is comprised out of a caffeteria, a gallery and a multifuntional space for concerts and theatre play during the weekend and various wokrshops, vaje, educational activities, film screenings and so on during the week.

The place being a product of three regional youth and student NGOs, it runs a very diverse programme and is part of the Kunigunda Festival of Young Cultures. It is open for variopus co-productions and for initiative from the local people.

Programme

Music-wise, one can metnion voodoo afro-punk Wombo Orchestra (Fr), Straight Mickey And The Boyz (SRB) , Zmelkoow, Prismojeni profesorji bluesa, Damir Avdić, Lovely Quinces (HR), Tekochee Kru, Bad Copy (RS), Martin Ramoveš Band, Srečna Mladina, Zaklonišče prepeva, Noctiferia, James Leg Band (US), Jimmy Barka Experience (SI), Fake Orchestra, Repetitor (RS), John Paul Keith & Band (US), Dubzilla, etc. All in all, here, one could hear the better part of Slovenian alternative music scene

It was the official warm-up venue for Metaldays and is a regular stop of the Club Marathon. Regularely it is home to techno parties

Other tyoes of events are numnerous – there are things like the Deluxe Ski Jump (a legendary PC game) tournament, a collective waching of football games, card and table games tournaments and meetings, hand-footbal games, regular movie nights, the so-called listening sessions,

Gallery

The gallery in Klub eMCe plac usually hosts exhibitions by regional painters, photgraphers, and so on. Klara Kulovec, photographer Anže Kovač, painter Slavka Popovič, the sculpter Alij Jusović, Laura Betka Krajnc, painetr Suzana Švent, Urške Babuder, Grudnik Jasmina, Dejan Kralj, etc. There were also open calls for socially aware and critical poster
